It started with a trinket....

It started with a trinket. I received a small glass camera from a friend as a gift, with a note. I don't remember the exact words of the note, but it was something to the effect of keeping my dream alive. I loved this little glass camera, that sat on a mirror. It was and still is one of my most treasured gifts. It made several military moves with us, from state to state. Once unpacked, it would move from one spot to another around the house. It was always my small reminder, that someday, I would be a "real" photographer.

Well, here I am, at the beginning of a new adventure. I have always been drawn to the arts..... but I never knew we here exactly this love for art would take me. Twelve very short years ago, I picked up my first camera, and I fell in love with photography. It wasn't something that took me a while to like. The first time I looked through that lens, my whole world changed. It was so different looking at things through a camera lens. This new found love, happened while on my honeymoon with my real love, in Tahiti. I continued to play with my camera, and took several classes, and upgraded several cameras along the way. I was always practicing on my friends' kids, pointing a camera and snapping their every move. Documenting every expression. My friends have always been such a huge part of my life, and have been the encouragement I needed to continue on. With my friends behind me, and my husband's support, I am finally making my dream into a reality.

My hope is that I am able to capture unique memories for each family I meet. I want them to remember that contagious giggle, or serious smirk, or that funny face their child makes that no other child in the world can duplicate. I want to document your child, in their world. I am not good at posing people, and telling them what to do, and honestly, it just doesn't feel natural to me. I want you to be who you are. I want to capture the pure bliss of your family being together and sharing a moment with each other. I hope that my photos show personality, and speak to people who look at them. It may draw the same reaction for everyone, and I hope it's doesn't. I strive to make my photos stand out, from anything else you see. My ultimate wish is that you have a wonderful time creating memories that will last a lifetime.
